  7. Welcome to the self-running demo for Star Trek: Judgment Rites.  ST:JR is
  8. the sequel to the best-selling Star Trek: 25th Anniversary game.  We've
  9. made some major improvements to the Star Trek system, and designed all new
  10. stories based on the Original Series for ST:JR.
  11.  
  12. This demo was originally designed for retailer use, but was made available
  13. on customer request.
  14.  
  15. Demo Requirements:
  16.         640k
  17.         hard drive (about 6 megs after decompression)
  18.         VGA graphics
  19.         supports most major sound cards (SoundBlaster and Adlib)
  20.  
  21.         The final version of ST:JR will support more sound cards and
  22.         take up some hard drive space.
  23.         
  24. Instructions:
  25.         After decompressing (if you haven't already!) type
  26.         RITES <enter> from the directory that contains the demo.
  27.         After answering some questions regarding your sound card, the
  28.         demo will begin.
  29.  
  30.         Press ESC at anytime to quit.
  31.  
  32.         The demo will loop and play until you quit.

  34. Other Important Stuff:
  35.         Star Trek: Judgment Rites should also be available Fall '93.  This
  36.         is a sequel to Star Trek: 25th Anniversary.  It features: Eight 
  37.         episodes of the adventures of the Star Trek crew, an improved 
  38.         starship simulation, and much more.  This is the demo.
  39.  
  40.         Star Trek: 25th Anniversary is available now for MS-DOS.  Coming 
  41.         soon for Macintosh and Amiga computers.

  43.         Also available soon is the Enhanced CD-ROM version of Star Trek:
  44.         25th Anniversary.  The Enhanced CD-ROM version features the original
  45.         voices of the USS Enterprise: William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy and
  46.         more!  It also features improved music and sound effects, along with
  47.         more enhancements.  Coming soon for MS-DOS.

  49.         Star Fleet Academy (title may change) is also coming soon for
  50.         MS-DOS computers.  This is a starship simulation game set in the
  51.         Star Trek universe.  Do you have what it takes to graduate from
  52.         the Academy?  Find out in 1994.
